[Fr] Blu Farm – Inside (240 volts)
Continue reading
[En] Interview : Roger23 (Playhouse / 240 volts / Swayzak Soundsystem / Meakusma)
Pure underground dj, music lover, and vinyl addict, Roger Reuter aka Roger23 is the first guest to play at our Party launched in Paris this month. Close friend of Swayzak (he travel a lot around the world with them), former record-shop co-owner, composer who has released eps for Playhouse, 240 volts, Meakusma, it’s a pleasure to introduce him if you don’t know this artist yet. Continue reading
[En] David Brown @ Social club (videos)
Yesterday there was a !K7 night at the Social club in Paris, with David Brown from Swayzak, Joakim, and Ed Isar (from Get the curse for the warm-up). Here on Boing Poum Tchak! you know, dear readers, that we have a special affection for Swayzak, and we could not forget to take the cam recorder to bring you some tasty moments of David’s set. It’s just about two videos and 30 minutes of really cool sound. Check this out ! Continue reading

[En] Interview – David Brown (Swayzak / 240 volts / !K7 / Serieculture)
David Brown is one of the two guys (with James Taylor) who’s running Swayzak since ten years now. After fantastic albums as the incredible minimal dubby tech-house Snowboarding in argentina (1998), the 80’s vocal-pop Himawari (2000), the big electroclashed Dirty dancing (in tribute to Patrick Swayze’s Dirty Dancing movie ;-), and the last one Some other country, David Brown is launching a new label with the dj and friend Roger 23 named Serieculture. We know all that the Swayzak’s lives are always amazing and improvised, but we know less about the dj-side, even if they have released two fantastic cd-mixes for Fabric and Goovetechnology in the past few years. So, here we go for a dj interview. Continue reading

[En] 3 great video clips (Drexciya / Minilogue / Swayzak)
Minilogue – Hitchhikers choice
Wao… THIS is a really exciting thing. No complex FXs or a lot of money spent here. A bit of talent and some ideas are enough. There are so many drawings that you can view this clip many times, you’ll always see things you didn’t pay attention before. Endless fun which can remind the D.A.N.C.E. video clip of Justice.
[Fr] STL – Night grooves (something)
Groovy STyLe
Continue reading
[En] Swayzak – 10 years @ Rex Club
October 20th. English duet Swayzak was celebrating their ten years of collaboration at Rex Club, Paris, and also their last album Some Other Country (!K7).
After a great groovy deep / dub (with some little dark oddities) warm-up by Roger 23, and the short concert of Richard Davis, David Brown & James Taylor finally came to the stage. So, what was going on? Just two sweet hours of laptop-live, as usually totally improvised, with some vocal tracks sung by their old friend Richard Davis (Another way back, No sad goodbyes…). Then, Roger and all the crew played nice records until 6 am. A really good night!
